NOS Clubs and Activities

Below is a list of club activities members of NOS can enjoy. Except for the Book Club, these activities require a paid NOS membership to participate.

Many activities require reservations!

NOS recommends early reservations as space can be limited. Some clubs take a hiatus during the summer months.

Suntree/Viera Library Neighbors Book Club

3rd Thursday at 2:00 PM

This club meets monthly at the Suntree/Viera Public Library for group discussion. Bookmarks listing the reading assignments are also available at the library anytime.

Breakfast Club

3rd Wednesday at 9:30 AM (October – May)

NOS invites you to join us for breakfast. The Breakfast Club meets at a different restaurant each month. This club is for both men and ladies. Restaurant locations are published in advance.

Reservations are strictly required!

Day Bridge

2nd Thursday and 3rd Monday at 1:00 PM

NOS offers a daytime bridge for individuals. Each group of eight players meets once a month. Members each take a turn hosting.

Bunco

2nd Friday at Noon.

Bunco luncheons are open to all NOS members. NOS members enjoy lunch and an afternoon of Bunco at the Suntree Country Club. This is a no-brainer activity and lots of fun.

Cocktail Mixer

2nd Wednesday at 5:00 PM

The Neighbors of Suntree Cocktail Mixer meets at cocktail lounges/restaurants on the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month. Couples and singles are welcome.

Coffee & Conversation

1st Monday at 10:00 AM (October – March)

Members of this group meet in various homes each month to enjoy refreshments and listen to exciting speakers arranged by the Coffee and Conversation chairperson. Early reservations are recommended, as space can sometimes be limited.

Hand & Foot

1st Friday at Noon / 2nd Monday at 1:00PM / 2nd Tuesday at 12:30 PM / 2nd Wednesday at Noon / 4th Wednesday at Noon

NOS has four groups playing Hand & Foot. This card game is similar to Canasta. Groups are set up in September, but chairpersons always look for players to sub in these groups.

Ladies Lunch

4th Thursday at Noon (except September and December)

This group enjoys having lunch at a different restaurant each month. Restaurant locations are published each month.

Mah-jongg

Tuesdays at 1:00 PM

Mah-jongg is an ancient Chinese game played with unique tiles. NOS Mah-jongg groups meet regularly on Tuesdays. A class taught by experienced players can also be arranged for those interested in learning the game.

Pampered Palates

3rd Saturday at 6:30 PM

Pampered Palates is a social dining group that meets monthly in the homes of its members. Each month a different member hosts a dinner for which the Hostess selects the menu and provides those attending with a recipe for their contribution. Some of our traditions are: December is a cocktail and dessert party, May the men plan the menu and cook, and June, we eat at a local restaurant.

Couples Bridge / Evening Bridge

2nd Mondy at 6:30 PM for a couples bridge

4th Monday at 6:30 PM for evening bridge

NOS offers two evening Bridge groups. Members take turns hosting the group in their homes.

Various Days and Times

NOS offers day and evening events for members and guests at various local locations. Activity and site are published in advance.
